This large-scale curated exhibition exposes and explores many never latent, yet often unrecognized, interconnections between nature and urban life, especially botanical nature’s roles and guises.

Curated by Judith Tolnick Champa, this exhibition called ReSeeding the City: Ethnobotany in the Urban is part of The Year of the City: The Providence Project initiative. It features more than 30 probing works by 20 extraordinary artists. Free of charge. Please note that ReSeeding the City: Ethnobotany in the Urban takes place in the Lower Level Gallery of the RI State House from October 25 to November 26. Gallery hours are M-F, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, holidays excepted. Entrance is through the Smith Street entrance of the State House.

Exhibition is launched by a Public Forum of the same name taking place on Saturday, October 26 at Brown University featuring many invited speakers. Opening Reception is scheduled for that same evening in the State House. Please consult www.providencebiennial.com website for press release and more.
