Reception for Process & Product: Art & Design

Imago’s new exhibit is curated by Sara Ossana, a designer, artist, entrepreneur, educator and co-founder and co-owner of O&G Studio in Warren. The exhibit explores the interplay between art and design, including both fine art and the production works of the exhibiting artists — some of whom are designers and some of whom are artists– highlighting the breadth and scope of their creative resourcefulness and ingenuity. Artwork by Imago member artists will also be on display.

Participating guest artists include: Raeanne Giovanni-Inoue, a photographer who creates fine art imagery of interiors and landscape as well as product photography in her studio in New York City; ceramicist and former jeweler Michele Quan, from Brooklyn, NY; a textile artist, Stephanie Housley, who lives in Wyoming and Brooklyn, NY; and James and Chelsea Minola, designers of furniture and objects at Grain Studio in Bainbridge Island, WA.

Also included will be artwork by Meg Callahan a designer from Oklahoma who makes quilts at M. Callahan Studio; sculptor Will Reeves, a co-founder of The Wurks in Providence; Andrew Mau, designer and maker of jewelry and objects at MAU-HOUSE, a design studio based in Honolulu, Hawaii; as well as work by Ossana and Jonathan Glatt, co-founder with Ossana of O&G Studio.

Originally from Arizona, now living in Rhode Island, Ossana is a visiting lecturer of set design at Brown University and furniture design at Rhode Island School of Design, both in Providence, RI, as well as co-owner of O&G Studio. She has Bachelor’s degrees in both English Literature and Studio Art from Rice University along with a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. Her own work includes theatrical set design, furniture design, interior architecture and fine art.
