Pub Night with Sean Connell

Club favorite Sean Connell, guitarist and vocalist, returns to the pub for another evening of Irish ballads starting at 8:00 p.m.

Also, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs hall, a 1916 Committee lecture, “The Hunger, The Voyage, The  Welcome,” will be presented by Mavis McGetrick. The program will explore the conditions which forced over a million to flee Ireland during the famine of the 1840’s, the deplorable conditions they experienced on the “coffin ships” as they crossed the Atlantic and the social and economic conditions that awaited those who successfully arrived in the United States.
