Providence Waterways: Tidal Resonance

Join us for live performances, a sound journey and other fun activities that explore the stories of Providence’s waterways. Tidal Resonance features live, participatory performances by Becci Davis, Lilly E. Manycolors, and AM Andrade from the Haus of Glitter. Performances will happen in two rounds: starting at 2pm and again at 4pm.

And bring your headphones! The Sound Journeys features stories and sounds by Sussy Santana, Janaya Kizzie, AM Andrade, and two collaborative sound pieces: one by Mary-Kim Arnold and Bonnie Jones, and a second one by Emily Dix Thomas and Seth Tourjee. This experience is curated by Seth Tourjee and Shey Rivera Ríos, with sound design and production by Nadav Assor and Jake Sokolov-Gonzalez.

Tidal Resonance is the featured event of Providence Waterways: a newly launched multimedia, collaborative storytelling project by Doors Open RI that explores our relationship with water. Through a combination of online and onsite experiences, Providence Waterways invites community members to reveal the forms that Providence’s water has taken over time, the stories it tells, and the power it holds.
