Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces as public parks and social spaces for people to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets.
The RI Chapters of the American Planning Association (APA-RI) and American Association of Landscape Architects (ASLA-RI) are organzing Park(ing) Day in Downtown Providence. Park(ing) Day is a global event. Every third Friday of September, around the world people transform curbside parking into public spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets.
