The main catalog will begin at 12:00 offering a variety of Asian arts, decorative arts, paintings, furniture, jewelry, collectibles, primitives, sterling silver, and porcelain among many other things. The selection of fine art is highlight by an oil on canvas painting by contemporary neo expressionist Hunt Slonem (b.1951). Other fine art highlights include two oil on canvas paintings by George Loftus Noyes (1864-1954), two oil on canvas paintings by Robert Nisbet (1879-1961), and a watercolor painting of seaweed gathers by C. Myron Clark (1858-1925). The decorative arts selection is highlighted by a conceptual figurative sculpture of a female torso by Dan Corbin (b.1947). Other decorative arts highlights include a complete gilt and silvered bronze chess set by Giuseppe Vasari (1934-2005) and a bronze sculpture of a woman by William Ludwig (1935-2001). Furniture highlights include a selection of period 18th and early 19th century American furniture, continental chairs and cased pieces, mid century décor, and an ornate Tiffany & Co. flame mahogany grand father’s clock. Asian arts highlights include a Chinese lacquered and jade, celadon jade, malachite, and coral inset room divider screen and an exceptional Japanese gilt and silvered room divider screen. Other Asian arts highlights include a large cinnabar and cloisonné box and fine pair of Chinese Republic Period palace size porcelain vases.
