Mapping the Newport Experience: Preserving a Sense of Place Tour

Join award-winning Architectural Historian and Photographer John Tschirch as he shares his discoveries from Mapping the Newport Experience, an independent research project documenting how Newport’s cultural identity is embedded in its urban history and streetscapes. From the lower Thames Street commercial area to the grandeur of Bellevue Avenue, this tour examines buildings, streets and urban spaces ranging from 18th century working wharves to formal 19th century boulevards. Photography is encouraged, reservations required.
