Nature Lab Pop-up | 10am – 5pm Take a closer look at specimens from the natural history collection! Friendly faces from the Nature Lab will be on hand to answer questions and share the anniversary events in store for the Lab.

Nature Lab Pop-up | 10am – 5pm Take a closer look at specimens from the natural history collection! Friendly faces from the Nature Lab will be on hand to answer questions and share the anniversary events in store for the Lab.
Hands-on Kids’ Workshop | 11am – 3pm Both little and larger hands can engage in some big art making together with Laura Evonne Steinman [99 SC]. Cut, place and sew hand-shaped leaves onto a collaborative “autumn colorful creative” collage and create your own smaller fabric collages.
Sketches & Caricatures | 11am – 3pm Commission a custom sketch or fast caricature by RISD students. Fun and FREE!
RISD Reads: Children’s Book Signing | 2pm – 4pm Back for its 5th year! Alumni Stephanie Laberis [04 IL] (The Little Grumpy Cat That Wouldn’t), Phyllis Limbacher Tildes [67 IL] (Eye Guess, Baby’s First Book of Birds and Colors), Jacqueline Rogers [81 IL] (Our Great Big Backyard) and Stephen Shaskan [92 IL] (Toad on the Road, Max Speed) read from their recently published children’s books and stick around to sign copies. Book sale sponsored by Barrington Books.
Feed those growing bodies with sweet & savory snacks from Mijos Tacos, Rocket Fine Street Food, Like No Udder vegan ice cream, and Providence Pie Company! RISD Craft, the annual juried sale of alumni + student work, will be happening just a stone’s throw away on Benefit Street.
