Introduction to Primitive Fired Pottery

In this 3-week course, you will learn the basic concepts of working with clay, creating pottery and multiple hand-building techniques, as well as learn the history behind these methods. The course will include instruction, professional demonstrations by Dennis DeLomba, and hands-on pottery making. During the final day of the course, the class will meet in Bristol to learn how to prepare their pottery for primitive firing and participate in the primitive firing process.
