Am homage to Walt Whitman’s Bicentennial and the Centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment.
Readings, chamber music and voice, harmonica improvisations with music by Florence Price, Aaron Copeland, Charles Ives and Eric Nathan. The RI premiere of Francine Trester’s Chamber Opera, “Florence Comes Home” inspired by the life and music of African American composer Florence Price.
