Enthusiast and historic baseball player Jon Henson recounts the rise and dominance of the Providence Grays, the powerhouse club that fielded four future Hall of Famers and won two National League pennants, as well as the first postseason interleague world championship series. Henson’s talk will reveal the colorful personalities and anecdotes of the major league franchise that held court on the Messer Street Grounds for eight seasons in Providence’s West End.
