Full Circle Film Series Kick-Off

UPP Arts kicks off its Full Circle Film Series with Living Narragansett: Stories of the Past Present and Future,  a series of short films produced by the Tomaquag Museum and curated by the Museum’s Director Loren Spears. The projection screen is mounted on a floating upright 16’ semicircle steel sculpture, enhanced with silhouettes of the natural life connected with the pond and the Indigenous People who have maintained connections with this site for centuries. Artist Holly Ewald conceived the sculpture/film screen Full Circle: Art as Reflection to draw attention to the pond and provide a vehicle for community engagement.  The Steel Yard fabricated the sculpture under the direction of Tim Ferland. Full Circle: Art as Reflection is a joint project of UPP Arts and Providence’s Department of  Art Culture + Tourism.The films are free and open to the public. Frenchy’s popcorn, cotton candy and cold drinks will be available. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket.
