CVS Health Downtown 5k

On your mark, get set, register! Tie up those running shoes for the 27th annual CVS Health Downtown 5k, scheduled for Sunday, September 18. Registration is open for the annual racing event that offers something for everyone – including the main 5k event that attracts some of the world’s most elite runners vying for the USATF 5k Championship – and other competitive runners, recreational runners and wheelchair athletes. The event also features the High School 3k, which includes a costume contest, youth races of varying distances for children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and the All Kids Can Inspirational event for children of all abilities.

All participants who complete the main 5k race will receive a finisher’s medallion to commemorate their athleticism and participation in the CVS Health Downtown 5k. As in years past, finishers’ medallions will be presented to all children completing the youth races.

The CVS Health Downtown 5k offers scenic views of the city and provides musical entertainment along the race course. The event is one of the ways CVS Health supports the local community by providing grants to local schools, track and field teams and other charities that volunteer to make the race a success.
