Back by popular demand: URI’s Big Band returns! They play the Newport Jazz Festival next!
The University of Rhode Island’s Big Band returns to Weaver Library by popular demand! Audiences can expect a set of high-energy jazz and jazz fusion music from the 1930s to the present. These talented students, led by Professor Joseph Parillo, have been invited to play at the Newport Jazz Festival for the seventh time! Free and open to all.
Bring a lawn chair and a picnic or enjoy dinner from Rocket Fine Street Food. (This food truck returns by popular demand too!)
