Brown University's 'Zoot Suit Ball'

Talk about March Madness? It’s not college basketball – it’s more exciting! The Compaq Big Band returns to one of our favorite, highest energy, longtime annual gigs, the ‘Zoot Suit Ball’ at Brown University in Providence, RI. This is a FREE, PUBLIC dance presented by the fantastic Brown Swing Club!

The public is enthusiastically encouraged to join us – dancers of all levels and age groups, singles, couples, and groups are welcomed! The venue is Sayles Hall on the Brown campus. Sayles is located midway between Waterman and George Streets – use the map to navigate or “79 Waterman Street Providence RI”. This stately old building will be jumpin’ that night! Classy attire encouraged. The fabulous Renee Dupuis will be out front on the books of Ella Fitzgerald, Diane Schuur, Natalie Cole, Joanie Sommers, Queen Latifah, and more, plus swingin’ instrumentals.
