Led by foremost Providence African American historian, Ray Rickman, this groundbreaking walking tour features seven sites, reenactments, and unique, interactive activities which provide an extraordinary window into slavery and abolitionism in Providence. Experience bondage, escape, manumission, burial, everyday life, and the campaign for freedom on Providence’s East Side. This landmark tour is limited to the first 35 registrants.
