Approaching a gallery can be a daunting endeavor. Gallery representation is a dream most artists have. Another is having your work published. So how does one go about getting your work in front of a gallery owner? Think of it as applying for a regular job. Research the galleries you are interested in. Find out everything you can. Stay visible and be open to showing your work. Show your work as often as you can, in the best places you can. You need to get both yourself and your work into the public arena. Learn how to use social media outlets. You also need to meet as many people in the arts as possible. Of course, your work needs to be consistently good. It isn’t an impossible task, but it does require a lot of work. So does everything else that is worthwhile.
Please RSVP on our website to this free event, and be sure to check out our large selection of fall classes.
