The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is gearing up for our hands-on engineering event. SWENext DesignLab encourages girls to choose a career in engineering. During the half-day program, middle school students work with local SWE members to complete hands-on engineering activities. While the girls are busy having fun and inventing new ideas, parents and educators learn about engineering careers, scholarships, college admission and resources. Participants also see how engineering can directly impact their community through presentations by award winning high school students. Middle school students will build a device that helps you pick up objects from a distance and make a dance pad with flashing lights.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS GRADE 6-8 Ticket $7 Ticket limited to girls in grades 6-8. Ticket includes exclusive access to the SWENext DesignLab hands-on engineering experience (2pm-5pm), t-shirt, snacks, give-aways, and raffle ticket.
PARENT EDUCATOR PROGRAM (PEP) TICKET $5 Ticket limited to families and educators of girls attending this event. Ticket includes exclusive access to the SWENext DesignLab hands-on engineering experience (2pm-5pm), t-shirt, snacks, give-aways, and raffle ticket. There is no onsite registration. Financial assistance is available, contact designlab@swe.org.
