Join Community MusicWorks with world-renowned pianist Emanuel Ax for a two-day festival residency. Festivities start on at Brown University's Granoff Center with an open rehearsal with the MusicWorks Collective and CMW students, followed by a public discussion on the topic "What Does it Mean to be a Citizen Artist?" That evening, the MusicWorks Collective, CMW students and Mr. Ax will perform at La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos in Olneyville Square. Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear an international sensation while enjoying your tacos! On Friday, March 24, join us for a Community Dinner at the West End Community Center followed by a concert featuring Emanuel Ax and the MusicWorks Collective performing standard classical repertoire. In addition, Mr. Ax will join CMW faculty and students in a special "We Shall Overcome" project. You will not want to miss this opportunity to engage with one of the most celebrated artists of our time!
