Live Bait: Luck of the Draw

“Live Bait: True Stories from Real People” is pleased to announce that, starting September 1st, it will be moving to a new venue and will be starting at a new, earlier, more convenient time. Live Bait will be moving one whole door over, to the AS220 Main Stage, at 115 Empire Street in beautiful Downtown Providence. Additionally, due to popular – and sleep-deprived – demand, Live Bait will be starting at an earlier time: 7:00pm!

To celebrate these new, exciting changes, there will be a twist in September’s show. Call it “Luck of the Draw.” Instead of names picked out of the fishbowl, there will be a bowl full of themes. A reverse Live Bait, if you will. If there’s a particular theme picked that tickles anybody’s fancy and/or reminds them of a story, they can yell, “I got it!” then come up on the stage and tell it.

As always, Live Bait is a forum for true stories: no notes, no rants, no aimless ramblings, no stand-up routines, and there is a six minute time limit. Of course, all are more than welcome to simply sit back and listen. Live Bait is hosted by Phil Goldman, with banter, musical accompaniment and monthly theme song by Jerry “The Professor” Gregoire.
