    1904 World's Fair: Showcasing RI's Legacy of Achievement

    This family event offers a nostalgic immersion into the sights, sounds and feeling of history's greatest World's Fair with a sampling of some of the cultures, entertainment, and information that was a part of the turn-of-the-century spectacle.  The grounds of the museum will feature continuous entertainment and activities including period fashions, cultural performances, brass music, antique cars, exotic animals, old-fashioned carnival type games, demonstrations, kids activities, art displays, magic show, belly dancing, Chinese Dragon dance, and some of the foods made popular at the Fair such as ice cream cones, hot dogs, and Dr. Pepper.  Also, there will be lectures and presentations about different aspects of the Fair.

    The museum inside the historic house will showcase the many wonders and innovations of the Fair through exhibits, artifacts from the Fair, with a focus on RI's impressive participation on the world stage.

    Participating will be Beledi Dance Troupe, Eastern Medicine Singers, Circus Dynamics, Dave Marchetti Animal Experiences, Providence Grays, Sultans of Sax, Bryant University's Confucius Institute's Dragon Dance Team, RI Genealogical Association, Blue Hill Observatory, RI Manufacturers Association, Community College of RI, Davies Vocational School, Generations Barbershop Quartet, and Sol Chariots.  Also Mumma's Real Lemonade and Providence Kettle Corn Company.  Major sponsorship is by Navigant Credit Union, The Valley Breeze, Alphagraphics, and CW Lanes & Games.
